All ELOSCN clubs will remain open in line with the local authority run schools.
As a childcare provider we take health and safety in our nurseries extremely seriously. Considering the current outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have put together some information, all of which is based on Public Health Guidance for Educational Settings and World Health Organisation advice.
What is Coronavirus? A coronavirus is a ‘type’ of virus. As a group, coronaviruses are common across the world with typical symptoms of coronavirus including fever and a cough that may progress to a severe pneumonia, causing shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. Generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long-term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease. Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China.
ELOSCN have policies and procedures in place for our club settings and head office to follow in circumstances of reporting illness.
Until the restrictions have been lifted, any parents dropping off or collecting children will not need to sign the register. Instead a member of staff will sign this in the presence of the parent / carer or another staff member. Additionally, all visitors will be postponed until further notice.
Should anybody feel that they are displaying symptoms we’d politely ask the individual(s) to remain outside the building where we will walk the children to meet you and the entrance / exit to the building.
We are also changing the way we are preparing and serving snack which will now be distributed individually rather than a self-service style.
There is nothing more important for us than safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all children and staff.

We are aware the situation is changing daily, and we will update you if further steps are required to minimise any risk to our nursery community.
